By Traveling with us your trip will be...
You can utilize Travel Partners for your entire stay in France or for only part. We can also arrange individual day trips - though the cost is quoted independent of the standard Travel Partner rates. Travel Partners is very flexible. We can be by your side or in the background ready to assist.

Why travel stealth in such a safe world as ours?
For us, traveling stealth is the norm, otherwise we'd be called "public guides". We travel only with you and your small group.

However, it is nice to have someone to fall back on in case of communication problems whether it be directions, lost reservations or dealing with a traffic cop.
With At Your Request we supply you with a French cell phone, our dedicated phone number and access to us 15 hours a day... just in case.

Consider This:
The guides associated with A Guide in France are not chosen by their skin color, sexual, religious or political preference and - this is the one the French bureaucracy really hates - our guides are not chosen by their educational pedigree. Many are not accredited by the French Ministry of Tourism which means they have not completed France's rigorous educational and bureaucratic curriculum. This doesn't mean much unless you want us to wear a shiny guide badge when entering the national institutions. It also means we cannot claim to be experts. Quite often, for a personal guide within a monument or museum, you must utilize the guides provided by the individual monument or museum you are visiting. Because these guides specialize in one thing, they can provide tremendous detail. An alternative that we often recommend is to use the hand-held audio guides that are usually available.
The private guides associated with A Guide in France are knowledgable, safe, courteous and above all, friendly. They are fluent in French and English (as well as other languages), and so comfortable to be around that you will feel like you're touring with a long time friend. None of us have a set spiel to feed our guests. For that kind of impersonal service you will need to take one of the thousands of one-size-fits-all tour busses.
If you require an accredited guide we can often arrange one for you through the French government.
To get the ball rolling, Contact us anytime. Ask us questions, tell us where you want to go and what you want to see. We're always glad to help and we look forward to showing you beyond the Eiffel Tower.
If you're in France and not using our Travel Partner's service but still want to take a simple day trip, we can arrange that for you as well. With our team of friendly and experienced regional guides we can arrange a private day trip to nearly any region in France (provided you're within day trip distance). Day trips differ from Travel Partners services in that day trips are focused on specific places and sights while Travel Partner services are more personalized and highly flexible.
Day trip pricing varies from region to region. Contact us, tell us what you're interested in and we'll get you there.
